PROGRAMS CONCERTS

’26/’27 and ’27/’28 Seasons

The “TIMELESS” Concert Series

Under his TIMELESS banner, Darius de Haas offers a range of concerts celebrating the enduring power of great music—from the Golden Age of song to contemporary classics. Spanning Duke Ellington and Harold Arlen to Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox, Darius explores the rich musical tapestry that connects Popular, R&B, and Jazz traditions, revealing how timeless artistry transcends genre and generation.

IF ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT

In this deeply personal and musically rich program, Darius pays tribute to legendary voices such as Nat King Cole and Sarah Vaughan while intertwining stories from his own musical upbringing. Known as the singing voice of “Shy Baldwin” from Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Darius brings that world to life by honoring the artists who inspired the character—Johnny Mathis, Sam Cooke, and more. The result is a heartfelt journey through the golden era of the American Songbook and its continuing influence today.

INTIMATE WONDER

A celebration of the genius and humanity of Stevie Wonder, this performance captures the joy, love, and spirit that define one of music’s most beloved artists. Hailed by The New York Times as “a musical impressionist in whose pantheistic visions voluminous tears and laughter flow from the same fountain,” Darius delivers an unforgettable tribute that radiates with energy, warmth, and deep emotional connection.

DAYDREAM: Variations on Strayhorn

Billy Strayhorn—composer of “Take the ‘A’ Train,” “Lush Life,” and countless other standards—remains one of America’s most brilliant yet undercelebrated musical figures. In Daydream, Darius guides audiences through Strayhorn’s extraordinary body of work, illuminating the artistry of a man whose music was immortalized by Duke Ellington, Lena Horne, Nat King Cole, and John Coltrane. This program is both a revelation and a celebration of Strayhorn’s lasting influence on jazz and the American Songbook.

LET ME CARRY YOU THIS CHRISTMAS: The Holiday Show

Drawing from his new holiday album Let Me Carry You This Christmas, Darius invites audiences into a joyous, soulful, and musically adventurous celebration of the season. The program blends beloved classics like “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “The Christmas Song” and “Silent Night,” with contemporary gems such as Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish” and Annie Lennox’s “Cold.” Through song and story, Darius weaves a warm and uplifting tapestry honoring the artists and traditions that make the holidays truly timeless.

NEVER LET ME GO: ANDY BEY & ME

An intimate, music-driven tribute to pianist and vocalist, Andy Bey. This program weaves performance and storytelling to illuminate the bond between Bey and his nephew, Darius de Haas. Through a curated selection of Bey’s repertoire, the program traces his artistic legacy, his influence as a singular voice in jazz, and the mutual support between uncle and nephew, particularly during Bey’s public disclosure of his HIV status and his inspiring return to prominence as a GRAMMY®-nominated artist.

Currently in development, the program is envisioned as a multimedia performance integrating live music with archival video and film.

DARIUS de HAAS AND MATTHEW WHITAKER: CONCERT FOR HUMANITY

Acclaimed vocalist Darius de Haas joins GRAMMY® Award–winning pianist, composer, and arranger Matthew Whitaker for a powerful evening of music that bridges the American Songbook and contemporary classics. Featuring works by Stevie Wonder, Billy Strayhorn, and more. This duo program explores themes of connection, compassion, and shared humanity, offering a resonant call toward love and kindness through the unifying force of music.
